LAST DAY OF SCHOOL - Friday, June 4th Dismissal at 11:50am
Ms. O's Message
Happy last week of this school year, Mistral Families! Thank you for being such a supportive part of our Quetzal Team. Your trust in us made a difference this year. As we bring back this ship to dock, let’s take a minute to celebrate our successes! As for me, I will celebrate my first year at Mistral with an amazing community and team of students, educators and staff who cared and persevered. Let's keep fighting for what we care, continue to show up and commit to excellence, keep loving and giving back, continue being kind and brave, and most importantly, allow ourselves to celebrate and believe that once we put our minds into anything, together we can make it happen .
Tomorrow at 10a.m. we will celebrate our 5th grade promotion ceremony, and our 5th grade drive thru from 4pm to 6pm. Parents, please sign up for your time slot that day. You will also receive an email in the morning of June 3rd with the directions to access the video. This video will be available for 24 hours. This is a bittersweet moment for all of us, as we are very proud of our students moving to middle school. However, they will be greatly missed! We look forward to hearing from them about their new educational journey.
Our last day of school is this Friday, June 4th. Students will be dismissed at 11:50am. Students who would like to take lunch home, they will receive their lunch at the end of the school day.
Please continue to practice washing your hands, watching your distance, and wearing a mask until further notice. If you have not already done so, plan to get vaccinated. We are looking forward to a brand new school year with less restrictions if we continue playing it safe. Have a great summer, stay cool, have fun, and for homework, make at least one person happy every day!
Take care,
Claudia Olaciregui, Principal

MVWSD Summer is here!
Every family's summer plans are different, but our district recommends that all students do some academic practice daily to keep their skills sharp in preparation for next year. MVWSD Summer is a collection of programs to help students maintain their academic skills, keep them connected to learning technology, and access free meals all summer long. These self- and parent-directed programs keep students in a routine during the summer and will go a long way to preventing learning loss. On i-Ready this summer, students will have both personalized lessons that their teachers have chosen for them, and lessons tailored to their needs based on assessment data.
Look for an email soon from MVWSD or click on https://www.mvwsd.org/summer to learn more. Attached are flyers outlining students’ steps for a productive summer and for easy access to all of the programs’ links.
