Ms. O's Message
Dear Quetzal Families,
May the luck of the Irish be with all of us! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! Although this is a religious feast day, many people around the world and in the United States like to celebrate Saint Patty! This year it happens to fall one day before our Return to Learn! Definitely a lucky charm for our back to school journey! At Mistral, our staff is very excited and happy to see our students return to school. We are equally excited to continue providing top of the line distance learning instruction to our amazing students who will continue joining us via Zoom.
As we transition into this new model, I want to remind you that tomorrow we have an asynchronous day for students who will continue learning from home (Zoomies). On Friday, our teachers will be able to combine both groups (Roomies and Zoomies) back to the class.
A few important reminders for tomorrow:
Fill out your OKtoReopen Screening form that you will receive via email or text. This form needs to be completed by 7:45am.
Please arrive on time (8:20am) and remember to stay in the car while your child gets out.
Your child (Kindergarten thru Second grade) does not need to bring their Chromebook to school. We will provide one for our students.
Please send your child with a backpack, a mask, and their headphones.
All staff on campus MUST wear masks at all times; maintain social distancing; and wash their hands often.
No visitors allowed on campus unless you have an appointment.
If your child will walk or bike to school, please send an email to his/her teacher to let her know.
Please go over the following Return to Learn documents:

Have a fantastic evening! I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Women’s History Month
In the month of March, we are celebrating Women’s History. BetterTogether recognizes the people, movements, and ideas that challenge expectations and gender stereotypes that negatively affect us all. From women’s suffrage to the gender equality movements of modern day, it has become clear that when we all fight gender inequality, we all win. Celebrate this month by having meaningful conversations with your students, your children, and your fellow s(heroes). In addition to the infographic, this month we will also be highlighting amazing women from our organization and learning about the s(heroes) that have inspired their own commitment to gender equality.
For a closer look at this month’s infographic, click on the attached flyers or visit https://www.mvwsd.org/bettertogetherMVWSD.
