Keep it Fun - Not Scary!
No Scary Costumes at School on Halloween

Please note that both Castro and Mistral will not allow clown costumes to be worn at school during Halloween.  Also, students are not allowed to wear scary, gory costumes (Scream, zombie, monster, etc.) and neither are fake weapons allowed at school (leave the pirate sword at home, etc.)  For those who are new to us, this school has a long-standing tradition of not doing scary costumes to avoid traumatizing the younger students.

Mini-Halloween Parade @ Mistral

Due to all of the activities related to construction on our campus, Mistral will hold a mini-Halloween parade in the MUR. Your child’s classroom teacher will communicate Halloween dress up instructions and details related to classroom activities. If you do not want your child to participate in any activities related to Halloween, please let the classroom teacher know so the school can make alternate arrangements for your student.
