Konstella classroom for incoming Kinders

Hi Mistral Families,

I know many of you have incoming kinders next year and are excited to start talking with other families and planning playdates. I've created a classroom in Konstella for your incoming kinders.

You can add your incoming kinder to your account either through the online website or through the app (I find the app more intuitive).

  • Online, click on your name in the upper left, then click on "Your Children". That will bring up a screen that shows your existing children. At the bottom, there is a button that says "Add children". Go ahead and add your incoming kinder, and place him or her in the room I've labeled Incoming kinder.

  • From the app, click on the icon at the bottom of the screen that says "me". Then select the first option that says, "My Children." From the next screen, click the button that says, "Add Child." There you can add your incoming kinder and place him/her in the Incoming kinder classroom.

You will now see the incoming kinder classroom when you log into the website or open the app, and you will receive any emails or event notifications for that room. You will also start seeing activities for incoming kinders in your weekly summary of the week ahead.

Thanks, and feel free to ask questions if you need help!

Recess Supervision Help

We invite you to help provide extra adult supervision during lunch recess. Our yard supervisors are wonderful, and during our current construction phase, their job can be difficult with children spread out in different areas. Surely our students could benefit from extra sets of caring eyes and hands! Please sign up for one shift or several! Contact me with any questions.

Thank you,
Sara Kopit-Olson, VP Mistral PTA

Marker Recycling

Instead of tossing markers into the trash, let’s Colorcycle them!  Your classroom and library have Colorcycle boxes for marker drop off.  Our 5th grade Girl Scout Troop 61076 will recycle markers by collecting and shipping used markers to a Crayola facility to convert them into clean fuel.  This fuel can be used to fill vehicles, heat homes, cook meals, and more!

Please go to http://www.crayola.com/colorcycle.aspx to learn more about Colorcycle!
