Mr. Gustavo Estrada is the principal of Gabriela Mistral Elementary.

He has worked as a Teacher on Special Assignment at John Sutter Elementary School and Bowers Elementary School (Santa Clara USD) assisting with school operations, providing instructional coaching and student discipline. He led implementation of English Learner programs, facilitated professional development and conducted coaching and data cycles at Oak Grove School District.

He was a bilingual and general education elementary school teacher for 20 years in Santa Clara County and Tucson, Ariz. He earned a Bachelor of Arts at San Jose State University and master’s in Educational Leadership at Santa Clara University.
