MVWSD Parent University

Mountain View Parent U is a series of District-offered parent workshops designed to address interests, issues or concerns of parents with children of all ages, backgrounds and educational status.

The workshops provide a venue for parents to meet other parents with similar interests and to share challenges and successes with others in a positive and nonthreatening environment.

Provided at many workshops (check details on each): Spanish interpretation and child care. Doors open at 6 p.m. Come early to connect with resources!

ELPAC

Mistral holds an annual series for parents on topics relevant to English learners. Along with strategies specifically for English Learners, our parents learn a great deal about helpful strategies in general for literacy, math and more. Childcare is provided.

Mistral PTA Speaker Series

Most PTA general meetings start with presentations on subjects of interest to our parents.

Los Altos Mountain View PTA Council

The Los Altos Mountain View PTA Council offers parent education speaker series events throughout the school year. All events are free to attend however some ask for a reservation to predict attendance. Past topics have included bullying, student use of social media, college admissions and much more.
